In case of Wifi, strong signal strength required.  No seperate communication cable (like RS 485 or CAT6) is required for Envoy-S product as it reads data from all microinverters through Power Line Communication. This device is used apart from monitoring if required for control of the enphase microinverter based solar energy system with additional offer options of monitoring, disabling, metering, zero export and diagnostics for efficiency system operation.
